UJI ADAPTASI PERTUMBUHAN VEGETATIF BEBERAPA GENOTIPE TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays. L) PADA BERBAGAI KONDISI TERNAUNGI
Abstract
The aims of this research was to evaluate aduptation ability of some maize varieties planted in tidal wetland in the condition of low light intensity against vegetative growth. The research was conducted at the Suka Tani Vallage, Tanjung Lago Subdistrict, Banyuasin District, South Sumatera Province, Indonesia. Split plot Design was used in this experiment by 22 varieties were tested as subplot and four levels of light intensity as main plots, each of treatment repeated three times. Result showed that light intensity significantly imfluence number of seed growing, number of leaves and heihgt of plant 45 days after planted. The most seed growing and number of leaves occured on C3 treatment (light intensity 360-400 µmol m-2s-1) and local variety Air Sugihan and B-41 variety. While light intensity 760-800 µmol m-2s-1 ,and variety B-26 give the highest of plant height.
