KAJIAN PERENCANAAN TEKNIS PENGELOLAAN AIR LIMBAH DOMESTIK PT X

Abstract

Company X is a foreign-owned (PMA) furniture company whose operations will generate domestic wastewater. The objectives of this study are: 1) To assess the technical planning for submitting a Technical Approval in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2021 concerning Procedures for Issuing Technical Approvals and Operational Feasibility Letters for Environmental Pollution Control. 2) To provide information based on the technical document requirements for domestic wastewater management for the furniture company PT X. This study is quantitative, with primary data collected through observation, interviews, and laboratory testing. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively.

The domestic wastewater generated from PT X's domestic activities is 17.76 m3/day (See Table 2.4). Domestic wastewater will be channeled to a certified biofil. Domestic wastewater management is carried out in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Environment Number P.68/Menlhk/Setjen/Kum.1/8/2016 concerning Domestic Wastewater Quality Standards. Wastewater consists of 99.7% water and 0.3% other materials, such as solids, colloids and dissolved materials. The capacity and characteristics of wastewater to be processed in the Bioseptic Tank with a total of 444 employees and a total of 22.2 m3/day of Domestic Wastewater; The amount of wastewater (blackwater) is 3,554 m3/day and the amount of wastewater (greywater) is 14,208 m3/day; BOD is 31.52 – 675.33 mg/L (average 353.43 mg/L); COD was 46.62 – 1,183.4 mg/L (average 615.01 mg/L) and TSS was 27.5 - 211 mg/L (average 119.25 mg/L).
