Analisis dan Implementasi Pemeliharaan Transformator Daya 8 MVA di PT. PLN (Persero) ULPL Paok Motong
Abstract
The maintenance of power transformer is very important in ensuring that the distribution of electrical power runs optimally. One of the crucial aspects of maintenance is the insulation resistance testing, which serves to evaluate the quality of insulation to prevent potential system failures. This research aims to measure and analyse the insulation resistance values on the three parts of transformer, including the primary side, secondary side and primary-secondary side. The method applied includes measuring the insulation resistance on the three side with the polarization index standard as a reference according to the PT. PLN (Persero) board of director’s circular on the distribution transformer maintenance method based on asset management principles no. 0017.E/DIR/2014. The test results show that the polarization index on the primary side, secondary side and primary-secondary side are 1,8; 1,87; and 1,42. The test results can be categorized as good because they are greater than the established standard (good standard between 1,25 – 2,0). This result shows that the transformer has adequate insulation quality, thus it can be declared operationally feasible.
