Rancang Bangun Portabel Turbin Angin Jenis Vertikal untuk Pesisir Danau
Abstract
Konsumsi energi yang terus meningkat mendorong perlunya pemanfaatan sumberienergi alternatif yang berkelanjutan daniramahilingkungan. Energiiangin merupakan salahisatuisumber energi terbarukaniyang potensial dikembangkan di Indonesia, khususnya diiwilayahipesisiridanau yang memilikiikarakteristik kecepatan anginirelatifistabil sepanjang tahun. Penelitianiini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji turbin angin portabel jenis vertikal (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine/VAWT)iyangimampuiberoperasiisecaraiefektif pada kondisi kecepatanianginirendah. Prototipe turbin dirancang menggunakan bahan pipa PVC dan plywood dengan tiga variasi jumlah bilah, yaitu 3, 4, dan 5 bilah. Pengujian dilakukan di kawasan pesisir Danau Jakabaring, Palembang, untuk mengukur hubungan antara kecepatan angin, putaran turbin (RPM), dan tegangan listrik yang dihasilkan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa variasi jumlah bilah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap performa turbin. Konfigurasi lima bilah menghasilkan performa terbaik dengan tegangan maksimum mencapai 2,4 V pada kecepatan angin 7,2 m/s, sementara konfigurasi tiga bilah lebih responsif pada angin berkecepatan rendah. Rancang bangun sistem turbin portabel ini dinilai layak untuk dikembangkan sebagai solusi energi terbarukan skala kecil, terutama di daerah pesisir dan pedesaan.
